*Due to the CDC recommendations, we are hoping to still conduct make up auditions, but we may have to cancel and have students audition via Zoom. We will keep you posted.
Those that auditioned before spring break are kindly being asked to be patient during this time so we can make final decisions after seeing all dancers complete the audition process.
Students with dance experience may wish to audition for the upper level dance classes. These auditions usually take place in March. To audition, students do not need to prepare any material, but should arrive to the audition ready to dance/warmed up. They will also need to fill out the below audition documents. Students should plan on learning technique combinations and short pieces of choreography. If auditioning for one of the performance teams, the students will asked to demonstrate more advanced technical elements and improvisation skills.
Students do not need to audition for Techniques 1. Auditions are only for students who have experience dancing but have not taken any dance classes at Timber Creek or for students already in the program who wish to skip levels or be on one of the teams.
Please note: An audition does not guarantee the student a spot in the level he/she is auditioning for. Students may be placed in different levels based on the audition. If a student auditions for the teams and does not gain a spot on either team, he/she will be advised to take one of the Techniques classes.
Please see below for more specific information.
